So, I know I’m a little late in writing this as we’ve already passed the first week of August… But its better late than, never right?!
The last couple of months have been pretty hectic for me, and I feel like I haven’t been able to take a moment to think properly let alone plan out some monthly goals! That being said, it is really important to take a few moments to just think about what you want to achieve and how you can work towards it. So that’s exactly what I’ve done for August!
1. Give my bank balance a break!
I’ll admit it, I have a problem. I am a fully self-confessed shopaholic. I just can’t help myself, especially when there’s so many sales around! But for the sake of my bank balance, and all of the exciting things I have coming up I need to reign this in a bit over the coming month! Even if I have to tape my hands to my sides to stop myself “just having a little look on ASOS”, I will reduce my spending this month!
2. Up my healthy game
With the abandonment of goals and structure in my life, also comes the abandonment of cooking healthy meals from scratch. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t turned into a junk food addict but my reliance on grabbing an easy takeaway has definitely increased! It’s actually sad for me, because I love cooking! So, this August will be all about the healthy, hearty, homecooked goodness.
3. Do more yoga
It’s so important to make time for our health and wellbeing, something that I’ve also neglected a little bit recently. It’s time to get back on my mat and get stretching! I’m heading back home to England next week for a well-deserved break, and I can’t wait to get back to some of my old yoga classes!
4. Just have fun!
That’s what we all want from life right? It sounds so cliché, but it’s true – Life really is what we make it! So, try to find the good in every situation, and be grateful for what we have; our family, friends and the other little things that make us happy. By doing this I guarantee we open ourselves up to more fun! I personally cannot wait to see my friends and family at home, and have the best time with them… I’m also secretly hoping this heatwave in the UK holds out for me!
Do you set monthly goals? If you do let me know your goals for August in the comments 😊 x
